Toddler Admission Process
- Register with the City of Ottawa Child Care Registry and Waitlist at the following: City of Ottawa Waitlist Note: There is no charge or fee for a child to be placed on the waiting list.

- Once you have been informed that the School has an opening available, and that you confirm you wish to enroll your child, you will be provided with an enrollment package.
- To secure a space for your child, please submit all documents, deposits, and post-dated cheques listed in the enrollment package within 5 business days.
2025-2026 Fee
Parkdale Montessori School is part of the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) System. As such, the school fee reflects $22 per day totalling $4,488 for the academic year (September 2025 – June 2026).
Fee includes:
- 6 ½ hours daily of Montessori Education (8:45 am to 3:15 pm)
- Two healthy snacks a day
- A daily catered lunch
- All yearly school materials and maintenance costs
- Precare (8:00 am to 8:45 am) IF not already at capacity
- Aftercare (3:15 pm to 5:15 pm) IF not already at capacity
School Policies
- Parkdale Montessori School welcomes all prospective parents and their families, and has a non-discriminatory admission policy for children.
- Acceptance into our programs is based on many factors such as: availability, age, etc. Children may be admitted at any time during the school year, depending on availability of space.
- Priority will be given to children who are currently enrolled and are eligible to move to the next age grouping, children of current Parkdale Montessori staff, siblings of children currently enrolled, families who have previously attended Parkdale Montessori School, full-time enrollment as well as families wishing to enroll more than one child in the same academic year. Once these children have been placed, other children on the waiting list will be prioritized based on program availability and age group.
Requirements
- Toddlers must be able to walk independently, take only one nap per day, and feed themselves independently to be accepted into our Toddler program.
- Ages (i.e. 18 months to 3 years-old) are approximate and placement depends on each child’s abilities and emotional growth.
- Toddlers integrate into the program in small groups and according to age (i.e. oldest to youngest).
