School Policies

  • Parkdale Montessori School welcomes all prospective parents and their families, and has a non-discriminatory admission policy for children.
  • Acceptance into our programs is based on many factors such as: availability, age, etc. Children may be admitted at any time during the school year, depending on availability of space.
  • Priority will be given to children who are currently enrolled and are eligible to move to the next age grouping, children of current Parkdale Montessori staff, siblings of children currently enrolled, families who have previously attended Parkdale Montessori School, full-time enrollment as well as families wishing to enroll more than one child in the same academic year. Once these children have been placed, other children on the waiting list will be prioritized based on program availability and age group.

Requirements

  • Toddlers must be able to walk independently, take only one nap per day, and feed themselves independently to be accepted into our Toddler program.
  • Ages (i.e. 18 months to 3 years-old) are approximate and placement depends on each child’s abilities and emotional growth.
  • Toddlers integrate into the program in small groups and according to age (i.e. oldest to youngest).
  • Children moving up from the Toddler community to the Casa level in January will do so only if they are deemed ready and if there is available space.
