Toddler Summer Camp

Parkdale Montessori School hosts a Toddler summer camp which includes a variety of activities to provide toddlers with a fun environment during the summer! There are no formal Montessori lessons. Each week, toddlers explore a different theme and all activities are related to that specific theme.

General activities/routine

  • Weekly theme (such as: colours, transportation, the ocean, jungle animals, barnyard friends, etc.)
  • Crafts (including painting, pasting, collages, etc.)
  • Songs, finger-play, story time, music and movement
  • Indoor toys and fun activities (such as: LEGO, puzzles, playdoh, replicas, etc.)
  • Outdoor games (soccer balls, vehicles, sand toys, etc.)
  • Water activities (spray bottles, sprinkler, bubbles, water tables, etc.)
  • Morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack
  • Toileting and Nap

Schedule

  • The Toddler summer camp runs for a few weeks during the summer. The hours of operation are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm with an option of extended care from 8:00 am to 8:30 am and 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
  • The program is available on a per-week basis to allow families greater flexibility in their summer scheduling.

Requirements

  • Toddlers must be currently enrolled in the Toddler program and have spent at least one school term at Parkdale Montessori School to attend our summer camp.

Fees

  • Parkdale Montessori School is part of the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) System. The fees noted in the table below are those after the applied 52.75% CWELCC reduction.
  • Fees for Toddler summer camp include: 6 hours daily of activities, two healthy snacks a day, a catered lunch, and all materials and maintenance costs.
  • Families have the option to select precare and/or aftercare if they need extended care services outside of summer camp hours.
Program Schedule Fee
Camp 8:30 am – 3:30 pm $200/week
Precare 8:00 am – 8:30 am $10/week
Aftercare 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm $30/week

 

Important Notes

  • No refunds or credits will be issued for withdrawals occurring after June 1st under any circumstances.
  • Fees and schedule subject to change.
  • A minimum of 5 children per week is needed to run the summer camp. Should the number of registrations be less than 5 children, camp for that specific week will be cancelled and families are refunded.
  • Limited spaces available. Acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis.
